Join or Create a Team
Rally your coworkers, friends, family, or club and make your Stars & Strides experience even more meaningful by joining a team! Whether you’re building a brand‑new group or hopping into an existing one, being part of a team adds energy, connection, and a little friendly competition to race day.
You can create or join a team during registration, or you can be added later if plans change. For any questions about forming or joining a team, reach out anytime at starsandstrides@vhfca.org.
Team perks
Teams come with exciting perks! The largest team in each category — Corporate, Club/Group, and Friends & Family — will win a commemorative trophy. The members of the top three largest teams in each category will be entered into a drawing for a 7‑day trip for two to Mexico! One lucky winner will be selected!
Corporate
Bring your workplace together for a fun, energizing team‑building experience. Corporate teams can boost company spirit, promote wellness, and enjoy a shared goal on race day.
club/group
Perfect for community organizations, fitness groups, social clubs, or any organized crew. Strengthen your group’s connection while showing your collective support at Stars & Strides.
friends & family
Make race day a family affair or gather your closest friends for a memorable morning together. It’s a great way to celebrate community, movement, and shared accomplishment.
Team Fundraising
Bring your team spirit to life by fundraising together. Whether you’re running with coworkers, friends, or family, teaming up to raise funds strengthens your impact and adds an exciting layer of friendly competition. Teams that fundraise are also eligible for a special fundraising prize, giving your group even more motivation to make a difference.
