Kids Fun Run

Little runners get their moment to shine in the Stars & Strides Kids Fun Run — a joyful, low‑pressure dash designed for ages 2–7. This flat, easy route winds through Discovery Meadow and takes place right after the 5K and 10K events, making it a perfect way to keep the celebration going.

Kids are welcome to participate in any distance that feels right for them. They can join the Kids Fun Run, or a 5K or 10K alongside their parents.

During the Kids Fun Run, adults are encouraged to accompany younger children to ensure a fun and comfortable experience for everyone.

Three Routes

Ages 2-3

A 250-foot paved, straight route. Adults welcome to accompany children. Pacers run with the group in the front and back.

Ages 4-5

An 800-foot paved, looped route. Adult pacers accompany the group in the front and back.

Ages 6-7

Approximately 1/3 of a mile, looped route around Discovery Meadow. Adult pacers accompany the group in the front and back.

  • Every young participant gets their own Stars & Strides race shirt and a shiny finisher medal - a fun keepsake to celebrate their big accomplishment.

  • Free facepainting: bright colors, sparkles, and creative designs bring extra joy to the day. Kids can choose their favorite look and head into the festival in style.

  • Festival games: from classic lawn games to playful challenges, the festival area is packed with activities that keep kids smiling and moving.

  • Children’s entertainment: the Bubble Lady, music, and interactive fun create a lively atmosphere.

  • A thrilling helicopter arrival kicks off a special meet‑and‑greet with superhero guests - a crowd‑favorite moment that brings big excitement to the festival.
